Allen E. Reason

Allen E.”AL” Reason, 70, of West Columbia; formerly of Neeses, died November 10, 2013. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm, Wednesday, November 13 at Unity Baptist Church in North, with Rev. Jerry Arnold and Rev Mike Reason officiating.Burial will be in the church cemetery with full military honors. Mr. Reason was born in North Carolina, a son of the late John Allen and Annie Bell Casey ReasonHe was a veteran of Viet Nam and retired after 20 years of service in the military.He loved NASCAR, Country music and his country. Survivors include his wife, Kathy Chavis Reason of the home; one daughter, Michelle (Roy Lee) Chavis of Neeses; five sons, Jonathan Reason and Timothy Reason of West Columbia, Jeff (Vanessa) Reason of Wilson, NC, Allen Keith (Kathy) Reason of Neeses, SC and Greg (Nicole) Reason of Louisville, KY; brothers, John Reason, Jr. of Chesterfield, VA and J. W. Reason of Wilson, N.C., Mike Reason and Buddy Reason of Tallahassee, FL; three special angels of the home, Avary Brunson, Alley Reason and Timothy Reason, Jr.; fourteen grandchildren and one great-grandchild. The family will receive friends from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m. Tuesday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) and other times at the home of his wife, 787 Church Street, West Columbia, SC The family wishes to extend a special thank you for all the love and support during this time of loss.
