Alice C. Morgan, 94, of North, died, Monday, October 28. Funeral services will be 11:00 am Thursday, October 31, at the First Baptist Church of North with Rev. Rick Jones and Rev. Larry Shull officiating.Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery.The casket will be placed in the church at 10:00 am. Mrs. Morgan was born in Norway, a daughter of the late Percy M. and Polly Onley Calvitt.She retired from Stone Manufacturing on her 75th birthday and was a care-giver until she was 90 years old.She was a member of the First Baptist Church of North where she was a former nursery worker, served on the fellowship committee and was former secretary of the Deborah Sunday School class.She was married to the late Richard D. Morgan. Survivors include one daughter, Harriett (Jerry) Lane of North; one son, Thomas R. Morgan of North; three grandsons, Dean (Christie) Royson, Tommy (Teresa) Royson and Bobby (Cindy) Royson all of Chapin; one granddaughter Wendy Graif of Bishopville; three sisters, Annie Lou Morgan of North, Margie C. Woods of West Columbia and Emma H. Calvitt of Norway; two brothers, Samuel J. Calvitt of Columbia and Palmer Calvitt of Walhalla and a number of nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m., Wednesday at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home in North (www.mcalhanyfuneralhome.com) and other times at the home of the daughter, Harriett Lane, 7706 Salley Road in North.
