Alan Brennan Redmond

Alan Brennan Redmond, 76, of Swansea, S. C., passed away peacefully Thursday, November 30, 2023. Born March 2, 1947, in Maryland to the late Jimmie D. and Jewell White Redmond. He was a testing technician for Bell South until retirement. Mr. Redmond is survived by his wife, Cherry E. Redmond; his daughters and son-in-law, Tracie R. Hutto (Turtle), Crystal B. Dinkins (Bryant) and Tracey Cade; grandchildren, Noah and Pamela Redmond, Adam Hutto Thomas, Brooklyn, Bristol and Brittain Dinkins, Katrina, John, Tabitha, Carolina and Nick Cade along with three great grandchildren. He was affectionately known as Poppy to his grandchildren. Mr. Redmond was predeceased by his son, Eric B. Redmond. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Faith Baptist Church with Rev. Ken Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Redmond Family Cemetery. The casket will be placed in the Church one hour before the service. Visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday evening at Culler-McAlhany Funeral Home. The family will receive friends other times at the home in Swansea. Pallbearers will be Bryant Bass, Ernie Redmond, Tad Bolin, Noah Redmond, John Cade and Frank Martinez.
